Can you retake the LNAT?

Not in the same cycle. You can sit the LNAT once between 1 September and 31 July; a second sitting in that cycle is void. Scores do not carry over, so if you reapply the next year, you sit it again.

Worked example Which result counts?

Amira sat the LNAT in November 2026 and applied for 2027 entry. She has no offer and reapplies in autumn 2027 for 2028 entry.

Why this works: She sits a new LNAT in the 2027-28 cycle. Her universities see that result, not the 2026 one.

Why the tempting route fails: Reusing the November 2026 score: LNAT results are not carried over from one year to the next.

Make the one sitting count

  • Sit a full timed rehearsal first.
  • Book a date that leaves time to practise after it.
  • Move the test free up to 48 hours before if you are not ready.
