How we work this out

What it does

Section A passages in the real format. A new set every time, marked the moment you finish.

Original argumentative passages with three or four questions each and four options per question, as in Section A. The full set is 42 questions on 12 passages in 95 minutes.

Method

  1. Each attempt draws new passages from our reviewed bank of over 400.
  2. Every key was derived again, blind, by an independent reviewer.
  3. The clock gives the real pace: 95 minutes for 42 questions, about 2¼ minutes a question.
  4. The target is 70%, the average of Oxford's shortlisted applicants in 2025-26 (29.4 of 42).
