What the score means

There is no minimum score: Bristol compares your result with the same year’s applicants. Staff assess the essay internally. Official source (accessed 2026-09-24)

Preparation, editorial advice

For each missed passage question, identify the exact wording that defeats your answer. For essays, state a defensible claim, answer its strongest objection and end with a qualified conclusion. Keep MR20 language study separate from English-language LNAT practice.

Three common questions

What score do I need?

Bristol does not set a minimum. Do not treat a historical average as a pass mark. Official source (accessed 2026-09-24)

Can I book on the UCAS deadline?

The published wording says book before 13 January, although sitting on 13 January is allowed. Official source (accessed 2026-09-24)

How should I prepare for the essay?

Editorial advice: plan both sides of an official sample prompt, write a timed answer and ask a reader to identify its weakest inference. Bristol staff assess the essay, so prepare both sections. Official source (accessed 2026-09-24)

FAQ questions are editorial adaptations of observed score, booking and preparation queries, not quotations. Provenance: score query research (accessed 2026-09-23) and preparation query research (accessed 2026-09-23).
