LNAT, A-level and GCSE checker for Law
Check your predicted A-levels, GCSE English and Maths and LNAT score against what each Law school has published, one rule at a time.
Law entry requirements and the LNAT
Add a university, three A-level grades and your LNAT score
We check each published rule on its own: A-level pattern, GCSE minimums and the LNAT average. We never blend them into a chance.
Rule checks, not a prediction. Subject requirements, resits and circumstances are not covered; check the course page before you apply.

What it covers
Nine LNAT universities for 2027 entry. Advertised A-level offers are recorded for Oxford (AAA), UCL (A*AA), King's (A*AA, contextual AAB), Bristol (A*AA or A*A*B, contextual AAB) and SOAS (AAB, contextual ABB); UCL's GCSE English and Maths grade 6. Other rules are left unknown.

Method
- Grades: we take your best three A-levels and check them against each advertised pattern, grade by grade (A*A*B meets Bristol's A*A*B but not UCL's A*AA). We do not convert grades to UCAS points.
- GCSEs: we compare your grade with any published minimum. UCL allows discretionary waivers, so below 6 is flagged for a conversation, not ruled out.
- LNAT: we subtract the university's latest published offer-holder average from your score, as in the score-by-university tool.
- Each check stands alone. We never combine them into a score or chance.
Uncertainty and limits
- Where the research could not read a current grade rule on the university's own page (Cambridge, LSE, Durham, Glasgow), the check says "not verified" rather than guessing.
- Oxford ranks GCSEs against your school's results (contextualised GCSEs), which cannot be worked out from a list of grades.
- Subject requirements, resit policies and other qualifications (IB, Scottish Highers) need the course page.
Dates and versions

What the answer means
The answer lists which published rules your profile meets, which it does not, and which are unknown. It cannot give your chance of an offer. No university publishes offers by grades and LNAT score together, so any percentage would be invented.
Published Law entry requirements used by the checker
“Not verified” means the research could not read a current rule on the university’s own page, not that there is none.

Questions people ask
Can good grades make up for a low LNAT score?
Nobody has published data that answers this directly. Universities weigh them differently: Oxford's 2025-26 first ranking gave 80% to contextualised GCSEs and 20% to the LNAT, while others publish no weights.
What GCSEs do I need for UCL Law?
UCL asks for grade 6 in GCSE English and Maths, and says it may waive this at its discretion.
Is A*A*B enough for Bristol Law?
Yes: Bristol's Law FAQ lists A*AA or A*A*B, with AAB as the contextual offer.
